OBSIDIAN GLOBAL, LLC Granted Re-Certification of ISO Integrated Management System – ISO 9001:2015, 20000-1:2018, 27001:2013

August 16, 2022

Obsidian Global was granted recertification of their Integrated Management System, certified by International Management System Marketing (IMSM) according to internationally recognized quality management principles set out by the International Standards Organization (ISO).  ISO Standards 9001:2015; 20000-1:2018; 27001:2013 appraisals were performed by an International Management System Marketing (IMSM) approved appraiser.

ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) is the ultimate global benchmark for quality management.  This QMS sets out the steps necessary to adopt a quality management system.  It is designed to help organizations ensure they meet the needs and expectations of both customers and other interested parties, based on internationally recognized quality management principles set out by the International Standards Organization (ISO).

ISO 20000 (Information Technology Service Management) optimizes IT infrastructure and reduces risk.  This process follows methods to measure and evaluate performance, processes, and practices, providing more structured opportunities for continual improvement.

ISO 27001 (Information & Data Security) sets out the requirements of information security management systems. It is part of the ISO 27000 family of standards relating to information and cyber security and offers a comprehensive set of controls, based on best practices in information security.  Data is one of the most valuable assets any business has today. Our dependence on information systems and services means organizations are more vulnerable to security threats than ever before. Keeping your data secure – whether its customer, staff or supplier data – is critical in most businesses, but most especially those dealing with sensitive data. Data security is a hot topic in the media, so ISO 27001 not only protects your business against hackers but also safeguards your reputation.

By meeting the extensive criteria for these standards, Obsidian affirms its ability to consistently deliver effective Quality Management Systems, comply with security requirements, and drive continuous improvements to products, services, and internal processes. Obsidian also meets the standards of CMMI-SVC 3 and CMMI-DEV 3.
