Born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland into a large, competitive, close-knit family, with 3 sisters and a brother. Father is a computer scientist and mother works as a dental hygienist. Attended Towson University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. During college, he played football for the Tiger's where he won 2 conference championships and would have been a D1-AA National Champion if they only scored 28 more points. After college, Drew found an interest in IT and self-educated himself to make the transition into his newly discovered passion.
What is your role at Obsidian? Security Operation Center Lead for the CAEIO contract with the Department of State. I lead a 24x7 team of security engineers/analysts that monitor and enhance security for CA's enterprise.
What has been one of your proudest moments while working with Obsidian? Being promoted to SOC Lead within my first two months of employment with Obsidian.
What is your favorite way to spend the weekend? A good weekend consists of watching football, enjoying a restaurant, exercising, writing my quarterly status report, and learning something new.
What are your 3 favorite bands/artists? What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to? Creedence Clearwater Revival, Alan Jackson, Blink 182.
What ranks number one on your bucket list? I do not have a bucket list but I value being productive, getting better, and not being complacent. However, if I did have a bucket list, it would be attending the Super Bowl to watch the Baltimore Ravens win.
